| Works & Functions | The Chairman of
the Nagar Palika Parishad with the aid of administration through executive
office looks after the interests of the people of the town. It initiates and
follows up on all development projects and work in the town area. It listens
to all the grievances of the people and those brought to its notice by the
ward members and takes appropriate steps to fulfil them. |

a municipal area in the 1890, one of the fist towns in Garhwal to do so. The
Nagar Palika Parishad looks after all public facilities and utilities like
roads, street lights and their maintenance. It also maintains house and
property records, buying and selling of properties, birth and death records,
social and cultural development of the town, etc. |
